The homeless, or people that are threatened with it, can get support from the volunteers. This advice is provided from Monday to Friday until 1 pm. People will need to drop in as the centre does not provide advice over the phone. The centre has been offering this service for over 20 years to the vulnerable.

The housing assistance can help find emergency accommodations in Manchester. They can signpost people to shelters or a short term hostel. A key aim is to get rough sleepers into some type of housing. Other support from the centre ranges from showers or a laundry for hygiene.

For tenants that are threatened with an eviction, the Middleton Day Centre will offer only advice that can hopefully help the tenant sustain their housing. The volunteers will help the client apply for either benefits or a DHP for their rent arrears in order to sustain their home. Or when needed resettlement services are provided too.

Information on any needs is given out until 1pm each and every day. Support workers offer a kind ear to anyone that drops in. Based on the request, they will try to provide aid. Or if the Middleton Day Centre does not offer the service, then they will refer the client to another local organisation.
