Based on an assessment from the social worker at the fellowship, the family may be provided food, signposting to benefits for paying their bills, housing, clothing, or other support. What exactly is provided will depend on the results of that assessment process. While they Daylight Centre will try to satisfy all needs of the resident, in some cases signposting is provided instead.
Free food is provided, or some parcels or meals may be served to the needy at a low cost. The fellowship operates as an independent charity and they are not part of any other network. This means that the organisation even depends more on donations and volunteers from across Wellingborough.
The parcel will contain a variety of items. Some people are given tinned meats or fruits, and others are provided baby formula or nappies if they have infants. Rice, tea, cereal, and other items are also passed out. All of the groceries given in the Daylight Centre parcel are provided for free to families with a low income.
Daylight Centre Fellowship will also provide a hot meal to the homeless. They can drop in at the centre five days per week before 1:30 pm to receive a hot drink or meal. When this occurs, the rough sleeper will also be provided other support, such as a blanket, sleeping bag, or clothing. The homeless in North Northamptonshire can also be referred to temporary housing, such as a hostel.

There is the Wellingborough Council Homelessness Team, which can offer deposit help for prospective tenants. Another key partner is the YMCA Northampton which also provides shelter and deposit schemes. This type of support is often combined with a parcel of food. This means the client can get something to eat as they learn about housing resources, and find additional North Northamptonshire rent deposit schemes.
