Temporary housing and shelter in Liverpool

Each of the Liverpool housing centres listed below will require a referral in order to use them. There are temporary accommodations for women, the homeless, and even entire families that need time to gain independence. Shelters in the city can also be used by residents for a night or two.

Anyone that needs to use one of these centres should stop by One-Stop Shops or the council offices. The Housing Options Teams at these locations will meet with the individual to determine their housing needs. If they are found to be eligible, a referral may be made to a shelter. Or the person may be placed into a local hostel or some other short term accommodation.

While at the housing facility, the person will meet with a keyworker. This is done in an effort to help the person address the cause of their financial hardship. Throughout this process the individual will be given meals, clothing, and other forms of practical support.
