Hi, I’m looking for any help or advice for the situation were in right now. I live with my partner and her son in Belfast who’s 7 years old and is currently ongoing medical attention to determine if he has ADHD.
We live in a two bed flat private rented and we’re in a mess. We decided to go legal and claim together when I moved in but that has just got us in a right state. At the time I was working full time and we had to appeal to the housing to get some help but the longer it took we got ourselves into rent arrears. Because of this stress it’s got us into I am signed of on sick for anxiety and depression and my employer terminated my contract so now we have had to make a claim for benefits.
As this has happened we are in about £2385.00 in rent arrears, as well as this the landlord has decided to sell the property and he has given us the section 21 and section 8 notices.
We have had numerous appointments with family moziac and citizens advice but they can’t help us as well as the council because we are in arrears. I believe we have roughly a few months before we will be living on the streets as we have nowhere to go.
I would be very grateful if you could help in any way. Thank you.
